Chiropractor in Carindale-posture focused chiropractic care
If you live or work in Carindale and you’re dealing with back discomfort, neck tension, headaches or posture you’re not happy with, you don’t have to travel far. Brisbane Posture and Performance Chiropractic is based on Creek Rd in Carindale, alongside Goodlife and Creek Road General Practice.
We’re a chiropractic clinic with a particular focus on posture and body structure. Rather than treating a single sore spot in isolation, our chiropractors assess how your whole body is holding itself.
What to expect on your first visit
If you’ve never seen a chiropractor before, here’s how a first appointment at our Carindale clinic works.
Before your examination
You’ll be greeted at reception and asked to complete a patient history form. This covers your current concern and any relevant medical history, so your chiropractor has the full picture before assessing you.
Your consultation
One of our chiropractors will go through that history with you and ask questions about what’s brought you in, what makes it better or worse, and what you’re hoping to achieve. This is a good time to ask anything you’re unsure about.
Physical examination
We conduct orthopaedic, neurological and musculoskeletal examinations, along with a digital posture scan that measures how your body is currently sitting and where it’s carrying stress.
Imaging
Your chiropractor will assess whether imaging is clinically indicated for you specifically. If it is, we’ll explain why and refer you.
Findings and recommendations
Once results are in, we’ll talk you through what we’ve found and what we’d suggest. In some cases treatment can begin at the first visit; in others, we’ll want further information first. Either way, the decision about how to proceed is yours, and we’ll make sure you understand the reasoning before you make it.
