There are many types of headaches and migraines. The most common headache we see is the cervicogenic headache. This term means it is a headache originating from tension in the neck and back musculature. Often releasing the muscle knots and correcting the structure of the cervical spine will bring relief. Other causes of headaches may include dehydration, malnutrition, concussion or vision concerns.

Dr. Kyle (chiropractor) commonly assists patients with cervicogenic headaches and musculoskeletal imbalances. One of the most common conditions he notices amongst suffers is poor posture. The reason for this is that forward head carriage or poor posture vastly increase demands on the upper spines postural musculature. This leads to tension from these muscles being transferred to the skull, developing into a headache.
